Valery Zaluzhny assessed NATO’s readiness for war with the Russian Federation – UNIAN
The ex-commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces believes that Europe is not ready for a large-scale war, either technically or psychologically.
The Western world is not ready for a large-scale war, such as now in Ukraine. This was stated by the ex-commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now the Ambassador of Ukraine in London, Valery Zaluzhny, during the UP-100 award ceremony.
“European countries and the British army are most likely ready for short-term hostilities. But the essence of the question is whether they are ready for a war of attrition,” he said.
Zaluzhny emphasized that in October alone, Russia fired about 1.6 thousand Shahed-type kamikaze drones and about 200 missiles into Ukraine. At the same time, he emphasized, Western partners provided Ukraine with an incomparably smaller number of air defense missiles.
