Kazakh boxer Ablaykhan Zhusupov was left without a gold medal at the 2024 Asian Championship, which ends today in Chiang Mai (Thailand), writes Sports.kz.

In the final fight of the weight category up to 71 kilograms, Zhusupov entered the ring against Khavasbek Asadullaev and lost to him by a split decision (1:4). Thus, Ablaykhan became a two-time silver medalist at the Asian Championships – he previously won the same medal at the 2017 Asian Championships. He also has three bronze medals at the world championships.
