Vitamin Discovered That Fights Night Cramps – Health
Scientists from the Third People's Hospital in China have discovered a promising way to combat nighttime cramps, which often affect people over 50 years of age, reports Sports.kz with reference to Championat.com.
A clinical study of 199 people found that vitamin K2 could significantly reduce the frequency, intensity of pain, and duration of cramps.
Participants were randomly assigned to two groups: one received 180 mcg of vitamin K2 daily, and the other received a placebo. According to the results of an eight-week experiment, the group taking the vitamin experienced a statistically significant reduction in the frequency of seizures.
However, scientists emphasize that it is important to consult a doctor before taking any supplements, especially for people who are taking anticoagulants.
