At first, information spread on the Internet that the athlete died because a blood clot suddenly broke off. However, Alina Shaternikova, vice-president of the Professional Boxing League of Ukraine, partially denies this. She reported that Vyacheslav Uzelkov was again hospitalized in Vinnytsia. According to her, the boxer had a lot of blood clots, so there was simply no chance of survival.
“There were no chances. There were a lot of blood clots. It didn't happen suddenly,” Shaternikova said in a comment for Oboz.ua.
