Lithuanian Ambassador to NATO Deividas Matulionis said that Vilnius supports Paris’s idea regarding the possible sending of troops of Western states to Ukraine.
In a commentary to Radio Liberty, he noted that if France makes such a decision, it does not need the Alliance’s permission for this.
“These could be national decisions, a group of countries, a coalition that wants to join this initiative. It is not necessary to have agreement or a NATO label,” the diplomat explained.
