War in Ukraine – North Korea suffered its first losses in the Kursk region
According to American intelligence estimates, Korean losses were estimated at dozens killed and wounded.
North Korean troops first entered into battle against the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region of Russia and suffered significant losses. This information was confirmed to journalists by Pentagon spokesman Major General Pat Ryder, writes the Financial Times.
“We assess that North Korean soldiers were involved in the fighting in the Kursk region. We do have indications that they suffered casualties, both killed and wounded,” Ryder said.
US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby later said that several dozen North Korean soldiers were killed or wounded.
