Almost a third of the Russian Federation's budget expenditures will be allocated to military expenditures.
Russian Ruler Vladimir Putin approved record Russian defense spending. This happened during the visit of high-ranking officials of the European Union to Kyiv, writes AP.
It is noted that almost a third (32.5%, or more than $145 billion) of the Russian Federation’s budget expenditures in 2025 will be allocated to military spending, which was a record for an aggressor country. Thus, last year Russia allocated 28.3% for national defense.
The publication recalls that Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine from February 2022 is the largest conflict in Europe since World War II, which has depleted the resources of both sides.
