The Russian Army has begun using a new wheeled self-propelled artillery unit (SAU) at the front, which is likely a modification of the 152-mm self-propelled howitzer 2S43 Malva. As Militarny reports, a video of the new self-propelled gun was published by Russian media.
“In general, the new self-propelled gun has a similar layout to the 2S43, and probably uses all the same elements as the Malva, including the guidance system, except for the artillery unit,” Militarny experts say.
According to them, the new self-propelled gun, instead of the 152-mm 2A64 howitzer, received an artillery unit from the 2A36 “Gyacinth-B” long-range cannon, which made it possible to increase the maximum fire range of the self-propelled gun…
