According to the analyst, there is a “primitive perception” of the Kursk operation among Ukrainians.
The Kursk operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is incorrectly perceived in Ukrainian society. Its real goal was to show the weakness of Russia, Ivan Timochko, head of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.
He in particular refuted “rather primitive tendencies in the perception” of events in the Kursk region, for example, that the purpose of the operation was “to take more prisoners” or “to conduct some kind of territorial auction” in the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. According to Tymochko, this military operation actually has a much deeper purpose.
