There is one day of the year when people are much less likely to be born than any other.
“December 25 is the least popular day for children to be born in the US, Australia and New Zealand. In England, Wales and Ireland, it is the second most popular day after December 26, when the British celebrate Boxing Day,” explained economist Jay Zagorsky in an article for The Conversation.
Researchers Stacy Dickert-Conlin and Amitabh Chandra analyzed birth records from 1978 to 1992 and listed each day of the year in order of the likelihood of a birth on that day. They published the results in the New York Times.
