WhatsApp iOS support – the messenger will stop working on older iPhones – UNIAN

WhatsApp messenger will soon disable some Apple smartphones – the application will no longer run on them. Users who don't like to change their phones will suffer.
WhatsApp currently supports iPhones running iOS 12 and higher. From May 5, 2025, to run the application you will need a smartphone running iOS 15.1 or later, writes PhoneArena.
This means that iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users will lose access to the messenger because their smartphones do not support the latest versions of iOS. The developers advise owners of old iPhones to make a backup copy and restore it on a new device that supports WhatsApp.
