In Ukraine, various power outage scenarios are possible in winter. The choice of scenario depends on several factors: how warm or cold the winter will be, and whether the occupiers will resume mass attacks on the power system.

At best, power may only be turned off for a few hours a day during repairs or when the temperature drops to minus five degrees. This scenario assumes a relatively warm winter.

“We are going through the winter maximum more or less with short disconnections of consumers according to schedules and in an organized manner. Because repairs, because at minus five or minus six there may be a deficit,” said Plachkov.
