The results of their work were published by the magazine “Practice of treatment of small animals”.

At what age do dogs get old?

Scientists studied the veterinary records of 832 dogs who were patients of British clinics to find out at what age they begin to age and lose health. So, according to statistics, the aging process in dogs began at the age of 12.3 years on average, most dogs aged 12.9 years were recognized by veterinarians as old, and at 13.9 years old – very old.
