When is the Third Holy Day of 2024 in Ukraine – Different
One of the biggest and most revered holidays in the church calendar is the Introduction of the Most Holy Theotokos into the temple, or the Third Immaculate, as it is often called in the people.
Before the transition to the New Julian calendar (September 1, 2023) in Ukraine Introduction of the Holy Mother of God into the temple celebrated on December 4. Now the date of the holiday falls on November 21that is, it is celebrated 13 days earlier. The people call the holiday the Third Pure One. It has its roots in the 9th century, when churches were already built in honor of this important event for believers.
