Why did the Russians blow up the dam of the Kurakhiv Reservoir – an expert's opinion

The Russians expect that as a result of the blow-up of the dam of the Kurakhiv Reservoir, the logistics of the Ukrainian troops will be complicated.

Military analyst Denys Popovych expressed this opinion on the air of the telethon.

Commenting on the enemy's detonation of the dam, the expert noted that “there is a calculation that the water will rise and flood the roads important for the Armed Forces.”

“The enemy has long wanted to cut them off, in particular Kurakhove-Zaporizhia, in order to put our troops in a difficult position. If this scenario is realized, then there may be an additional complication of the logistics of the Armed Forces, and due to the presence of water, it will be very difficult to move,” Popovych said.
