If the newly elected President of the United States, Donald Trump, opposed the authorization of the use of long-range weapons against the Russian Federation, he would have stated this publicly. However, for now, only his supporters are talking about a possible escalation.

Political scientist Oleh Sahakyan said this in a comment on the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.

The political scientist noted that Trump's team currently takes a cautious and general position regarding the situation with permission to use missiles.

“As for Trump Jr. and Elon Musk, there is nothing to talk about here at all. These people do not directly influence this particular direction. They made many statements that go against the actions taken by Trump and his team,” he says Sahakyan.
