Membership in NATO should be offered to unoccupied parts of the country in order to put an end to the “hot war phase”.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, suggested that a ceasefire agreement could be reached if the unoccupied territory of Ukraine could be taken “under the NATO umbrella.”
The Ukrainian leader said this in an interview with Sky News chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay.
Zelenskyy made such a statement while commenting on one of the newly elected US President Donald Trump's plans to end the war, which includes the possibility of ceding territories occupied by Russia.
