Zelensky named the real reasons for the start of Russia's war against Ukraine — Politics
The Russian Federation started a war against Ukraine not because it needed more territory.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Russia started the war because of the desire for global power, as it was once during the Soviet or imperial rule.
The head of state said this during an address to the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest.
“Russia started this war not because it needs more territory. Russia has more land than anyone. She wanted global power, first – control over Ukraine, and then – over all of youas it was once during the Soviet or imperial rule,” Zelensky said.
He noted that Budapest remembers what Soviet tanks look like. And Ukrainian cities will not forget Russian bombs.
