In Ukraine, it is necessary to appoint a military ombudsman in the near future. President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said this while speaking in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
He noted that the Ministry of Defense and the military command must elect and appoint a military ombudsman. According to him, this must be a person who will be trusted. “A person who will enjoy, first of all, the trust of the military, the trust of the entire society. And I expect this in the near future,” Zelensky emphasized.
He said the Defense Forces should have “confidential opportunities” for our warriors to address issues arising from rights abuses.
