The current president of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, said that she does not recognize the results of the presidential elections held on December 14.

She addressed her supporters who came to the presidential residence, stressing that these events will not stop Georgia on its way to the European Union.
In X, the president characterized the elections as “a mockery of democracy.” She also reminded that a year ago, the country received the status of a candidate for joining the EU, which became “a day of consensus of popular joy and great emotions.”
“During the year, one party destroyed this wonderful opportunity and built a repressive authoritarian regime,” Zurabishvili said.
